On October 11, 2024, Dr. Chirawat Wattanapanich, Acting Deputy Director of the Center for Digital Technology, along with Mr. Wisit Ruangprom and Mr. Witchukorn Dandecha, staff members of the Center for Digital Technology at Walailak University, participated in a seminar to promote research and development of the cybersecurity research network.

The National Cybersecurity Committee Office has a mission to promote and support research and development of technologies and knowledge related to cybersecurity. Therefore, they organized this seminar to promote research and develop a cybersecurity research network. The event aimed to build networks, share information among researchers, and foster cooperation in cybersecurity management that is valuable and beneficial for the development of researchers and various organizations in the field of cybersecurity, effectively and efficiently.

The seminar included the following topics

• Panel discussion on “Policies and Strategies for Supporting Cybersecurity Research” by Asst. Prof. Dr. Waraporn Promvikorn, Assistant Secretary-General of the National Cybersecurity Committee (NCSC), Dr. Panu Thainiramitr, Assistant Director (System Development) of Prince of Songkla University Science Park, and Dr. Sompop Limsoontornkul, Acting Deputy Head of Research and Innovation, Computational Science Branch, Faculty of Science, Prince of Songkla University.
• Lecture on “Notable Research and Technologies in Cybersecurity”
• Presentation of cybersecurity research by Asst. Prof. Dr. Chidchanok Choksuchat, Deputy Director of the Office of Digital Innovation and Intelligent Systems for Administration, Digital Services, and Data Strategy, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Chinpong Angsuchotimet, Assistant Director of the Office of Digital Innovation and Intelligent Systems for Integration, Digital Services, and Social Mission.
• Presentation of problems encountered in cybersecurity preparedness of organizations, leading to research needs, by Mr. Songkran Muneenam, Expert Engineer.
• Presentation of the system for promoting research, developing research networks, and cybersecurity industry by the National Cybersecurity Committee Office.
• Discussion and feedback session with seminar participants.
