Cybersecurity in the Workplace and Fraud Prevention Course

On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., the Digital Technology Center organized a training course to support the knowledge test in using information technology in the workplace, which supports the personal performance evaluation criteria and the agency evaluation criteria for the fiscal year 2025 for the knowledge test in using information technology in the workplace of professional and general administrative staff. The Assistant Rector, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nichanan Kittipattanaboon, honored to preside over the opening of the Cybersecurity in the Workplace and Fraud Prevention training course at the Phattharamaporn Room, 9th floor, Building B, Walailak University Medical Center. The team of expert lecturers, Asst. Prof. Dr. Chirawat Wattanaphanit, Acting Deputy Director of the Digital Technology Center, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Thimaporn Phetkaew, Acting Director of the Digital Technology Center, were honored to be lecturers who provided knowledge of the course content, consisting of 8 topics as follows:

1) The importance of cyber security
2) Concept of data security
3) Types of cyber threats
4) Impact of cyber threats on universities
5) Laws related to cyber security and personal data protection
6) Case study of online fraud
7) Security Checklist
8) Digital Footprint and personal data protection

This course aims to provide participants with knowledge, understanding and proper compliance with cybersecurity guidelines, which will help prevent damage to themselves and help strengthen the overall cybersecurity of the university, as well as make them aware of potential cyber threats in the workplace and learn how to effectively protect themselves from fraud or IT attacks.

There were 113 employees who registered for the onsite training and 621 employees who registered for the online training.
